Churchill Downs is America’s most historic and famous thoroughbred racetrack.  It was established in 1874 and features the world-reknown Kentucky Derby.  It is also one of Louisville's most prominent venues for large concerts like the Rolling Stones and Alice Cooper.

Directions to Churchill Downs:

Churchill Downs is located in South-Central Louisville, approximately three miles from the downtown business district and two miles from Louisville International Airport (Standiford Field). The racetrack is a short drive from any location in the metropolitan area.

Access from expressways:
I-264 (Watterson) to Southern Parkway or Taylor Boulevard North exit.
I-65 to the Crittenden Drive exit. Turn Right on Central Ave.
From Downtown
Follow Third Street south. Then right on Central Avenue.
