Thomas Edison may have retired to Fort Myers, Florida, but he spent a period of his early life in Kentucky as a Telegraph Operator.  At the Thomas Edison House Museum in in Butchertown, where he resided for two years in 1866-67 near Louisville,  you'll  be able to see a large collection of some of his earliest lightbulbs, some Edison memorabilia, and become acquainted with his life and times.
